Ronald Reagan: Terrorist Appeaser!

We've been having an interesting and healthy discussion via email about Obama's desire to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The conservo's on the email list have largely criticized Obama's statement that he would meet "without precondition." One of the conservo's lamented that Obama would be meeting with the largest state sponsor of terrorism...essentially that he would be negotiating with terrorists.

The Soviet Union was the largest state sponsor of what the United States government would call terrorism the world has ever seen. They supported in material and finance organizations like the PLO. They also supported Italian, German, Irish, Spanish, Turkish, Armenian, Central American, and other Third World terrorists.

And Ronald Reagan, that terrorist appeaser, met with the head of the Soviet Union. MORE THAN ONCE! Even as the Soviet Union dared to point nuclear tipped missles at the United States! Using my conservo friends logic, Ronald Reagan negotiated with terrorists!

Of course, all this is without consideration of the Iran-Contra affair.

I'd forgotten about this

I'd nearly forgotten the pure joy one feels at the end of the academic year. I wrapped up my take home final exam tonight at Polk Library and felt incredibly good. Looking at a solid B average for the semester I think. So glad SUMMER is finally here! Lots of projects around the house to get to!

Can We PLEASE Stop!

Enough already. Who is this little pop princess that is taking over country radio and country music? Where did she come from so we can condemn that putrid city? And why oh WHY must my local country stations keep playing her "music" over and over and over?

Someone...please put Taylor Swift out of my misery!

Did ya see her "performance" at the CMT awards? HORRIBLE.
